About us

Located in Chicago's proudest neighborhood, equal mental health is a new practice that provide mental services to adults in general, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ+ community. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community is not an illness or disability, however, the members face daily challenges that increase the risk for mental health conditions and stress. At equal mental health, we firmly believe in the right to express who you are, love another person and be loved in return regardless of the sexual orientation or gender identity.

Mental health is an important component in each individual's health and it involves the psychological, emotional and social well-being. Our staff and providers can help you to improve your health and quality of life offering psychiatry services, including pharmacotherapy (medications) and/or psychotherapy (talk therapy).
